Cait was born and raised in the beach town Brick New Jersey. She began her career at the Jersey Shore Animal Center as a kennel attendant and quickly became a certified Animal Control Officer.
From there, she moved to Philadelphia to finish her associates in veterinary technology at Harcum College, completed her large and small animal externships at the University of Pennsylvania, and was shortly hired by UPenn to work in the OR at the Matthew J Ryan teaching hospital in West Philadelphia. She became a certified veterinary technician, taught 3rd and 4th year veterinary students sterile technique and was the nursing shift supervisor for nursing students. She later joined VSEC (Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center) in Levittown PA & South Philadelphia locations to work with a board certified ophthalmologist. Cait saw a need for a service, became certified in Pet Loss and Bereavement, and created a safe meeting space for those needing guidance with the loss of their pet.
In 2014, she took a leap a faith, moved across the country to Washington State, and was employed by iM3 where she traveled the world selling veterinary dental equipment for the next 5 years. Cait met Barbara at iM3 where their friendship became more like a sisterhood, traveling the country making memories. When they both left iM3, they did not want their adventure to end! They brainstormed and birthed V.E.T- Veterinary Education Team!
During her free time, Cait enjoys travel, hiking, spending time with her husband, and animals! She volunteers for the Squirrel Refuge in SW Washington and is very involved with local wildlife, especially opossums, thanks to her non releasable one eyed opossum, Kiwi!
